The Old Stoughton Musical Society, established in 1786, is the oldest continuously operating choral society in America.
When the Town of Stoughton celebrates its 300 th anniversary in 2026, the Old Stoughton Musical Society will be 240 years old.
We hope to be an integral part of the Town’s celebration. Our
mission is to promote, preserve, and perform choral music, especially by American composers.
We ask for your support to ensure the Old Stoughton Musical Society continues to be part of Stoughton into the future.
Without your financial support to help cover the costs of a director, an
accompanist, and other concert expenses, our volunteer singers will not have
the opportunity to sing and present quality, enjoyable musical programs for area residents.
